"And we do know. We're not like—we're not idiots."

No, you both appear to be reasonable young men.

The Whole World/Solar System Lost with this Election. Blame needs to be much more wide spread than Democrats. They made enough mis-calculations.

But, start thinking about all of the other sectors of Society that Failed to do their Jobs.

Many factors contributed. Abominable growing wealth inequality in the US and other Western countries. A misguided worship of violence to resolve problems. The propaganda of Social Darwinism, that a society works best when it's every man for himself, with no collaboration or cooperation is valued as a greater good for all.

Yes, those are some. I'm thinking about the role of Media, even to NPR which allowed Trump Bull Stories to be aired, let alone without qualifying them as BS.

Another is DNC and Biden/Harris staffs who could not have been looking at the same World as the one which Voted. Colossal Failure!

Education Sector is obviously not turning out a 'product' capable of Critical Thinking. I Teach. The Class makeup of the past 4 years of kids who were exiled to their Homes for a year, then brought back into the Classroom without immediate Adjustments and Re-Adjustments, Re-Education to repeat that which was missed during Isolation, and without a Cellphone Ban in the Classroom, aged into Voting without Necessary mental and psychological tools.

I am sure other Bright People recognize other Failures, but very few of the knee-jerk analyses we are hearing begin to quantify the Reality of what happened.

Also for discussion, with 4 years to prepare an army of sabateurs, did any of Trump's friends, like the Mercers, C-levels in Media, Faux Entertainment, Elon, Putin, Kim, et al. affect the Vote Count? The swath of his Win is pretty unbelievable given his 36-41% Support level for so many years.....

The way I see it, it wasn't so much a Trump victory, but more a Kamala loss. And that is due to the overarching corruption of Big Money in US politics and its gotten so bad, the Elites have entirely lost touch with the ordinary lives of Americans, that or they no longer give a rats ass about the rest of the population. Probably both.

I'm not a Trump fanboy, but neither do I see the Democratic party as some kind of veridical representative of We the People.
