Thanks, Richard, as always, for making complex situations such as this one readily understandable for a layperson such as myself. While we certainly have to rid our house of mice so that we no longer need mousetraps, I’m afraid that the rats are still waiting to pounce. What can we, the average American consumer, do to mouse proof and “rat-proof” our House? Always appreciate your insights!
Our economy and political system is just one big casino to the sociopathic wealthy and thanks to 5 more rightwing sociopaths on SCOTUS, in 2010 case called Citizens United, "Money is speech."
In answer to your question, we need to start there. DemandJustice.org does what it can to get The People activated to organize and contact our politicians. That's only going to work if we all do it enmasse--like the French who are out in the streets fighting their leader.
Thanks, Andrea. I’m all in favor of expanding the Supreme Court, overturning Citizens United, etc. and will follow up with DemandJustice.org. I agree that we, the people, have to “show up”:as courageous citizens are doing in countries around the world, from France to Iran and Israel, to name a few.
